Here’s the baby names list again! This time, baby name trends for this year, 2010.
Aidan, Noah, Caden and Ethan maintain their spots as the most popular boy names, while on the girls’ side, it’s Isabella, Ava, and Emma.
A trend in baby names this year is the emergence of unisex names, such as Taylor, Hayden, and Lou; sibling names starting with the same letter as with the Kardashian sisters, and the superstar status of names with letter “x” in it as popularized by the Brangelina brood – Maddox, Pax, and Knox. Lance Armstrong himself welcomed his son with the name, Max.
Traditional names are making a huge comeback. Just look at the celebrity babies! Kendra and hubby Hank Baskett named their son Hank Baskett IV, Tom Brady and Giselle Bundchen named theirs Benjamin. The likes of Maria, Michael and Michelle are also still holding strong as popular traditional baby names.
Names of royalty have always been a big hit among babies and this year is no exception. Top baby names still include Harry, Charles, William, and Elizabeth.
Trendy baby names for 2010 are about celebrities. Gavin, Ryder, Jacob, Edward, and Sienna are just too hard to resist for many parents. Don’t be surprised if you hear a lot of Bella, Jonas, and all the names of the cast of Glee.
2010 still has a long way to go. It is but right to expect more unique and trendy baby names to come around.
