Baby Shower Game - Laundry Duty

Baby shower games are an icebreaker, a chance to let your hair down and share a good laugh with the other guests, especially those who do not know each other personally and have just met for the first time at the baby shower. Baby shower games allow a fun bonding among the guests. They also serve as a break from the endless chatter, eating, and drinking.
This laundry game is a great baby shower game to play outdoors. Hanging the laundry and taking them down will take on a breath of fresh air. Everybody will suddenly be clamoring to do the laundry. Who would have thought laundry could be so much fun!
Materials You Need:
- clothes line (or rope if none)
- baby clothes
- baby clothing accessories, such as mittens, hats, booties
- wash cloths (really, any baby item that needs washing)
- clothes pins
- timer
- baby doll
How to Play the Game:
1. Hang the clothesline . . . between two trees, furniture, whatever you have available . . . 10-15 feet apart.
2. A player will hang all the laundry - baby clothes and other washable items - across the line with clothespins.
3. At the end of the line, player will go back to the start of the clothesline, carry the baby doll on only ONE hand or arm, and
4. Take down all the laundry “drying” on the clothesline with the other hand. Remember, only one hand must be used.
5. The player with the shortest time to finish hanging and taking down the baby clothing items wins the game.
The more participants, the more challenging and fun this baby shower game gets. Encourage everyone to join, even the mother to be. She can open the game and do the honor of hanging the baby’s laundry’s first. Let’s see if she’s indeed ready to take on motherhood!
