Baby Shower Game - Time Capsule
June 5th, 2009 | by Kacie |
Easily and affordably create an activity for guests during your baby shower and a gift for the new mom-to-be. This will be a great keepsake that will not only create a lot memories, but also a lot laughs!
Here’s what you need:
- paint can (found at your local hardware store . . . normally under $3.00)
- some decorative wrapping paper
- tape
- glue
- 4 different colored notepads or index cards
- posterboard or construction paper or scrapbook paper
- First, wrap the paint can in your decorative paper by taping the edge of the paper to the paint can.
- Once wrapped, glue the edge of the paper to the can.
- Take your posterboard, construction paper or scrapbook paper and make a sign that says:
Predict the future of (baby’s name)
- Select a time . . . 1, 5, 15, or 25 years ahead.
- Write your prediction on the colored card that corresponds with that year.
- Fold the card in half and place it in the time capsule.
Need suggestions?
How many brothers or sister will (baby) have by this date?
Will (baby’s name) be in school?
Will (baby’s name) be in sports?
Will baby look like mommy or daddy?
Where will the family be living?
How many toys and robots will be in there house?
Will they have pets?
What will the (baby) grow up to be?
Be sure to print your notepads accordingly: "In One year . . . ", "In Five Years . . .", "In Fifteen Years . . .", "In Twenty-five Years . . ." as seen above in the picture.
Place your display near the entrance to make sure everyone makes an entry into the time capsule.
Give your wonderful collaboration to the guest of honor . . . for years of enjoyment!
Tip: Choose paper that compliments the theme of your party.
Have fun!

A really fun game to play.
At least this way the dessert you have prepared will be gone in a flash.
And of course plenty of laughs along the way.
