Baby Shower Game - Baby Shower Baseball
May 19th, 2009 | by Kacie |
This baby shower game goes well with our All-American Apple Pie in a Glass Shake. Add this baby shower game to a co-ed party and you’ll have a home run with many memories to talk about for years!
Here is what you need:
- 4 Bases - This could be a chair, a table, etc.
- 1 Baby Doll
- 2 Diapers
- 1 Baby Outfit or Bib
- 1 Baby Blanket
- 2 Jars of Baby Food
- 2 Baby Bottles filled with the liquid of your choice
- 2 Small spoons
- 2 Small bowls
- Timer
Here is how you set up the game:
- Place a diaper at first base
- Place the baby outfit at second base
- Place the blanket at third base
- Place a jar of baby food, bottle, spoon and bowl at home base
Divide your party into two equal groups. If your having a co-ed party, make it girls against the boys. Have your team come up with their:
- First Base Player
- Second Base Player
- Third Base Player
- Catcher
Flip a coin to decide which team goes first. Of course, if it’s boys against the girls . . . then ladies first.
Players take their bases, except the first base player starts at home base.
On your command "GO" you start the timer and the First Base Player must run to first base with the baby put the diaper on the baby, then throw the baby to the Second Base Player.
The Second Base Player catches the baby and puts the baby outfit/bib on the baby, then throws the baby to the Third Base Player.
The Third Base Player catches the baby and wraps the baby in the blanket, then throws the baby to the Catcher at home base.
The Catcher must catch the baby then "feed the baby", by using the spoon to get all the baby food into the bowl and squeezing the bottle until empty into the bowl.
The first team to complete all the bases the fastest wins!
IF, someone drops the baby it is considered a STRIKE. Three strikes and your team is OUT. Both teams must have a chance. So, if the first team strikes out. The second team must have their turn at bat and not strike out.
This is where you can make the game really fun . . . spread the bases out as far as possible.
Tip: Be sure to check the baby bottle. Some new baby bottles have very small holes . . . make them reasonably sized by cutting them or using a fork to pry them a little larger.
Prizes: Be sure to reward the winning team with bubble gum cigars or something fun!
Be sure to check out our baby shower themes. Here are some keepsake baseball baby gifts the new mommy-to-be would enjoy!

A really fun game to play.
At least this way the dessert you have prepared will be gone in a flash.
And of course plenty of laughs along the way.
