Baby Shower Game - Baby Olympics

Olympics are going to take place in Beijing starting next month. Many have enjoyed the trials recently seen on NBC and have already started picking their favorite athletes.

Why not incorporate this proud tradition at your next baby shower and send guests into an uproar of competition they will be talking about for years to come?

Here is how to involve these fun baby shower games into your party. First, collect these needed items (most items can be gathered by friends or neighbors):

2 Baby Dolls
2 Baby Strollers
8 Hula Hoops
10 Cones (or similar objects to run around)
Small bag of diapers
Colored Tape

You will need some room for this game. Setting up the championship course:

Place two 3 foot sections of the colored tape down as two starting lines.
Place 4 cones approximately 2-4 feet away from each other in a line so the stroller can weave through the cones.
Place the fifth cone another 5-10 feet away, how ever your space permits.
Place 4 hula hoops down in groups of two.

Explain the instructions to the players:

Divide the party into two teams. TIP: As guests arrive have them pick out of a box/basket a colored ribbon. Example: pink or blue

Each team lines up behind their own starting line. Have the guest of honor be the the person to start the race.

Once go is said each player must push their stroller, weave through the cones, go around the fifth cone, stop put a diaper on the baby, then push the stroller back toward the start line while jumping through the hula hoops. Tag their team mate and the team mate must repeat the course.

The first team to finish the course successfully wins the honor of USA Parent Champions.

Pick up some gold medal necklaces at your local party store for the finishing touch and have guests laughing.
