Here are two classic baby showers games that are always fun.  They each take only a small amount of preparation.

 

First Game - My Water Broke

 

The day before the shower, freeze tiny plastic babies (found at many party stores, online, or your local mega store) in ice cube trays. Give each guest an ice cube in a glass of water or other drink. The first person whose ice has melted so that the frozen baby floats freely in the glass shouts, “My water broke!” and wins the game.

 

You want to try to serve people close to the same time to make it fair.  You’ll be surprised what a great conversation starter this baby shower game is.

 

You will need:

• Ice Cube Tray
• Miniature plastic babies

 

Second Game – Don’t Say Baby

 

Cut a piece of yarn about two and half feet long.  Slide miniature plastic pacifier, found at many party stores or at your local mega store in the invitation and card section, on the piece of yarn and tie to make a necklace.

 

You can make this as simple or elaborate as you want.  You can dazzle it up attaching name tags, color themed for the sex of the baby, etc.  As guests arrive they put their necklace on.  The only rule is you can not say “BABY”.  Who ever catches you saying baby gets your necklace.  The person with the most necklaces at the end of the party wins!

 

You will need:

• Yarn
• Miniature plastic pacifiers
